WHAT IS IT?

"DUMBO: LET’S FLY!” is a family musical inspired by the original novel by Helen Aberson.

This reinterpretation of the original story blends theatre, original songs, circus acts, puppetry, shadow play and black light to reinvent the story of the world’s most famous big-eared elephant.

SYNOPSIS

The “Ruby Circus” is the most famous travelling animal circus in the world!

Dumbo, a baby elephant, has just been born under the big top, and the circus family will soon discover that he is not like the others.

Carla, the Tamer’s acrobat daughter, becomes the little elephant’s best friend and helps him discover his talent and find his place in the circus. Everything changes when the Animal Liberation Activists take action and release all the animals during one of the performances. All of them, except Dumbo.

Without animals, the “Ruby Circus” is ruined — or so the Tamer believes. He blames the rescuers for all his misfortunes, while hiding the real reason behind the animals’ disappearance.

Only Dumbo and Carla can save the day, uncover the truth, teach the Tamer that a circus without animals is possible, and fly away into the wild to reunite with Dumbo’s mother.

Only Dumbo and Carla can save the day, discover the truth, teach the Animal Tamer that a circus without animals is possible, and fly away into the wild to reunite with their Elephant Mother.

Today, there are still travelling circuses where animals are deprived of their freedom, condemned to spend their lives in cages and subjected to training methods that often involve violence.

Through the characters’ journey, this new adventure looks to the future and presents the evolution towards a circus that respects animal rights.
